Tigres Extension Itinerary

Tigres island , once a peninsula before the ocean broke the connection with the main land in 1962, was home to the fishing village of Sao Martinho dos Tigres (at one time the most important fishing site of Angola). After it became an island, the supply of fresh water was also cut, and the place has been abandoned for over 50 years. It became a photographers paradise and one of the most exciting adventures in Angola.
The journey there can only be done via the beach, between the 300m high sand dunes and the sea, and the crossing is an amazing experience in itself.
